Yes. Our solutions are manufactured in the UK to BS EN standards, are RISQS‑certified, and align with RSSB requirements. They’re designed to virtually eliminate people/plant interface and fall-from-height risks, as well as significantly increase site efficiency.
Platform Edge Protection creates a secure physical barrier along the platform perimeter, preventing falls and separating workers from live tracks and operational areas. Our system uses lightweight GRP posts at 2.5 m spacing (stronger and quicker to install than traditional metal barriers) and is fully compliant with BS EN and RISQS standards for rail safety.
Platform Edge Protection should be used on any rail project where workers are exposed to fall risks or need separation from operational areas. Typical applications include platform refurbishment and resurfacing, lighting or canopy installation, drainage and track works, and multi-phase station upgrades. It creates a compliant barrier that protects personnel and passengers during both short-term and long-term works.
The system is designed for safeguarding platform perimeters in temporary worksites, possessions, and engineering access zones. It provides a physical barrier between operational lines and construction areas, preventing falls and unauthorised access. It’s widely used during resurfacing, structural repairs, signage and lighting installation, and major station enhancement projects.
Our lightweight aluminium bridge comprises two 4 m sections (8 m total), clamps onto the platform edges, supports up to 320 kg, and can be installed within minutes, which provides fast, safe cross-platform access. It's one of our most popular products.
Vortok Fencing is rigid barrier fencing clamped directly to the rail, operable up to speeds of 100 mph, creating a secure work zone (“green zone”) without penetrating the ballast. It’s tool-free to install and hireable UK-wide . We have thousands of metres available for hire, today.
Temporary rail access stairs provide safe, secure entry and exit between track and platform levels during possessions, maintenance works, or construction projects. They’re lightweight, modular, and quick to deploy, making them ideal for short-term access where traditional steps or ladders would be unsafe. Each unit meets Network Rail and RISQS standards to ensure full compliance on active worksites.
